Community Empowerment Project: Poultry & Goat Farming

We believe strong women build strong nations. We directly work with women in Kenya, offering support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move from poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency. We are determined to empower women in the Luyekhe community as we believe women are the engineering soul! In empowering women, we uplift their families and their communities.

Women's Group Vision

Bidii Women's Group envisions a world in which the most marginalized women reach their full potential in their families and communities. Support a woman and change her family  forever.

To support the most marginalized women to earn and save money, improve health and well-being, influence decisions in their homes and communities, and connect to networks for support. By utilizing skills, knowledge, and resources, they are able to create sustainable change for themselves, their families, and communities.

What We Do

We provide social and economic empowerment training to marginalized women in Kenya. We open doors for them through our social and economic empowerment programs. These programs provide marginalized women with the opportunity, often for the first time in their lives, to come together, forming women groups and build support networks, to share experiences, to learn critical skills, and to access new resources.

Women learn basic business skills with earning power in their local markets. They begin to save and support their families, becoming productive citizens in the communities. They help each other find solutions to common challenges. They learn to manage their health, including reproductive health and stress management, and the importance of good hygiene and nutrition for their families by connecting them with local healthcare providers.
